Abstract

|
Determination of hepatitis associated antigen to study the possib´e transmission of SH antiger from pregnant women to their newborn infant.
None of the 7 chitdi en born by 1 HAA carrier mother shored I´HAA in cord blood.
These results indicated the IAA can not be transmitted- across the placenta barrier.
But one of the 7 children born by HAA carrier mother bocame HAA positive in the 2 months of life.
It is suggested that possibility of transmission of INAA from mother to newborn infant by paranatal contamLiation.
